NASCAR Xfinity Series: Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner 300 Previous Results

Current NASCAR Cup Series full-time drivers Chase Elliott (2016), Tyler Reddick (2018), and Austin Cindric (2021) won the Daytona 300. Meanwhile, the 2022 Xfinity Series runner-up and 2023 full-time Cup Series driver Noah Gragson won the race in 2020.

Many legendary drivers have won consecutive and multiple Daytona 300s, including Dale Earnhardt (7), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (3), Darrell Waltrip (5), Banjo Matthews (3), and Tony Stewart (7).

Austin Hill is the winner of the 2022 Daytona 300 and is listed as a betting favorite for the 2023 race. If Austin Hill wins back-to-back Daytona 300s, he will be the first driver to do it since Tony Stewart won four straight from 2008 to 2011, and he will become the 16th driver to record multiple Daytona 300 victories.

NASCAR Xfinity Series: Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner 300 Analysis

Can previous results tell us anything to decipher who to pick from the long list of drivers on the Xfinity Series Beef odds?

When exploring Xfinity Series odds, you have to think about the manufacturer as well as the team/driver combination. Chevrolet has had tremendous success across the categories at Speedweek in recent years. A Chevrolet has taken the last ten pole positions for the Daytona 500.

As for the Daytona 300, a Chevrolet ride has won four of the last five races and 11 of the last 14. Chevrolet’s consistent performance has to factor into your Xfinity Series picks.

Austin Hill is racing full-time for Richard Childress Racing in the Xfinity series in 2023 and has a part-time Cup Series schedule. Hill opened his rookie campaign by winning the Daytona 300 and added another win at Alsco Uniforms 250 in Atlanta before finishing sixth overall in the Xfinity Series Championship.

New Opportunities and Favorites to Watch in the Xfinity Series

The top two finishers from last season (Ty Gibbs and Noah Gragson) have moved onto full-time rides in the Cup Series, leaving a large hole at the top of the standings for Hill to move into before eventually moving onto the Cup Series full-time.

Justin Haley of Kaulig Racing only drives part-time in the Xfinity Series but is among the betting favorites to win the Daytona 300. However, Haley is flanked by two teammates, Daniel Hemric and Chandler Smith who are full-time and should be among the regulars vying for the win in the final session.

Stewart-Haas Racing has two drivers in the top 11 drivers and is the only Ford representative at the top of the odds. Riley Herbst finished fourth in the 2022 Daytona 300 and tenth overall in the cup series and could be a longshot to win.

However, we are very intrigued by Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Cole Custer. Custer only participated in five Xfinity Series races in 2022 but was impressive, finishing in the top-11 four times and winning his season debut at the Production Alliance Group 300 at Fontana.

NASCAR Xfinity Series: Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner 300 Betting Picks

We’ve reviewed the Xfinity Series Beef odds; now, we need to figure out some likely winners.

Austin Hill has to be among our Xfinity Series picks to win the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner 300. Hill’s excellent 2022 season and win at last year’s event is why he is one of two favorites atop the Xfinity Series Beef odds.

Josh Berry from JR Motorsports is our other Chevrolet-based pick. Berry finished fourth in the Xfinity Series in 2022; scoring wins at the A Game 200 at Dover, the Alsco Uniforms 300 at Charlotte, and the Alsco Uniforms 302 at Las Vegas. Berry is a contender for the Xfinity Series championship and should be a front-runner to win the Daytona 300.

You have to think about manufacturer success, and Chevrolet has had tremendous success across the categories at Speedweek in recent years. Obviously, there are many Chevrolet options in the odds, but if you want to veer off the Chevrolet path, you only have three options.

Of those three options, we like Cole Custer from Stewart-Haas Ford as your non-Chevrolet pick to win the Daytona 300.
