NASCAR Xfinity Series: A-GAME 200 Betting Preview & Prediction

With numerous massive incidents and caution flags, Talladega was unmitigated chaos. Through the carnage and chaos, Jordan Anderson Racing-Chevrolet’s Jeb Burton pulled off the upset and won the Ag-Pro 300.

However, the usual roster of drivers with the best A-Game 200 stats and odds will likely make up the challengers at the front to win this weekend in Delaware.

We’ll review recent results, driver history at Dover, and the current odds in our A-Game 200 betting preview.

Before continuing with our Xfinity Series A-GAME 200 betting preview, we need to review the current NASCAR odds.

Here are our favored drivers to win and finish in the top five at Dover:

NASCAR Xfinity Series: A-GAME 200 | 200 Laps (200 mi)

Stage 1/2: 45 laps | Final Stage – 110 laps

Location of the game: Dover Motor Speedway, Dover, Delaware.

Date and Time: Saturday, April 29th, 2023, 1:30 PM ET.

How to Watch: FS1 | NASCAR Live

Dover has a lengthy history with the Xfinity Series, dating back to 1982.

Legends like Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr have won previous editions of this race, while current Cup Series regulars and Champions like Martin Truex Jr. (2005), Denny Hamlin (2008), Brad Keselowski (2009), Kyle Busch (2010, 2014), Joey Logano (2012-13), and Christopher Bell (2019).

There are two previous winners at Dover in the field of confirmed entrants as of publication. Both drivers are among the A-GAME 200 betting favorites.

JR Motorsports-Chevorlet’s Justin Allgaier has won twice on the Xfinity Series at Dover, winning in 2018 and 2020.

Allgaier’s JR Motorsports teammate Josh Berry won the most recent edition of this race in 2022.

A Chevrolet ride has won four of the previous six Xfinity Series races at Dover Motor Speedway.

At the top of our A-Game 200 betting picks is JR Racing’s Josh Berry. Berry has a race win and two top-five finishes in his last two drives of the Monster Mile in the Xfinity Series.

There is a reason JR Racing teammates are atop the betting odds at Dover: they’ve had tremendous success. Berry’s JR Racing teammate Justin Allgaier can move into the all-time wins leader in the Spring race at Dover this weekend. Allgaier has two Xfinity Series wins at Dover and has three top-five and four top-ten finishes in his last four Xfinity Series races at Dover.

Berry and Algaier are strong candidates to consider picking for a top-five finish. Both Algaier and Berry have four top-five finishes this season.

While current NASCAR Xfinity Series Drivers’ Championship points leader Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill has been featured heavily in our previews, he will not be one of our A-GAME 200 betting picks. Hill finished 18th in the chaos-filled Spring trip to Talladega and has one race at Dover since February 2020, scoring a 14th place finish.

Hill has three top-five finishes in 2023, all race wins.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s John Hunter Nemechek is a lock for the Xfinity Series playoffs. Nemechek is second in the Drivers’ standings and has four top-five and seven top-ten finishes. Despite being caught up in the chaos at Talladega, finishing 32nd, we expect Nemechek to be a top-five finishing candidate in most races. However, Nemechek’s best Xfinity Series finish at Dover is an eighth-place finish in 2019 for GMS Racing-Chevrolet.

The longshot pick for this week is Cole Custer, who has three consecutive top-five finishes.

  • When pressed to make an A-GAME 200 betting pick to win, we’re taking Josh Berry.
