NBA player props: Best bets for Thursday, January 11 featuring Giannis, Anthony Davis, Donovan Mitchell

We have light slate of NBA action to look forward to this evening with just five games tipping off. There are still plenty of opportunities to hit on player props courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook and we’ll go over some of our favorites below.

Giannis Antetokounmpo under 1.5 steals/blocks vs. Celtics (+140)

The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Boston Celtics in a marquee Eastern Conference showdown tonight and this presents a challenge for Antetokounmpo on the defensive end. He’s facing a Celtics team that has been sound in taking care of the ball and are giving up a limited number of steals/blocks per game. Giannis was completely blanked in those categories in a loss to the Jazz on Monday and I think the same will happen tonight.

Anthony Davis under 28.5 points vs. Suns (+105)

The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off a 132-131 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday and it was a big night for Davis, who put up 41 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in the win. The big man is dealing with an ankle sprain and is listed as probable heading into tonight’s contest against the Phoenix Suns. While I don’t think this injury will completely limit his production this evening, I’ll still lean towards the under on his point total.

Donovan Mitchell over 3.5 3-pointers vs. Nets (+100)

The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing the Brooklyn Nets in Paris today and there’s an opportunity for Mitchell to get active on international soil here. He’s shooting 35% from three this season and buried five against the Wizards last Friday night. Meanwhile, Nets opponents have been knocking them down from downtown as of late, shooting 43.7% with an average of 15.5 over their last 10 games. I’m taking the over on his triples today.

Donte DiVincenzo over 3.5 rebounds vs. Mavericks (+120)

DiVincenzo is averaging 3.1 rebounds off the bench for the New York Knicks this season and has been crashing the boards as of late. He’s recorded at least four in five of their last six games and has the chance to do the same against the Dallas Mavericks this evening. The Mavs have been yielding an average of 47.7 rebounds over their last 10 games, so I’m taking the over on DiVincenzo’s rebounds for this evening.

Chet Holmgren over 2.5 assists vs. Trail Blazers (+120)

The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Portland Trail Blazers Thursday and there’s an opportunity for Holmgren to flex his ball distribution skills here. Blazers opponents have averaged 29.2 assists per game over their last 10 games and I think the rising star can get over his season average of 2.7 this evening.
