NBA player props: Best bets for Wednesday, January 3 featuring Trae Young, Giannis, Anthony Davis

We’ve got a massive 12-game slate in the NBA Wednesday, and that means plenty of opportunities for bettors to find great player props to target. Here’s a few we like for the day’s action, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Anthony Edwards under 29.5 points vs. Pelicans (-125)

The Timberwolves forward is on a bit of a heater, going over this line in the last three games. However, he went under this number by a decent margin in both games he played against the Pelicans so far. New Orleans is 10th in points allowed and seventh in defensive rating, so this is a tough matchup for Edwards to once again hit 30+ points.

Trae Young over 11.5 assists vs. Thunder (-115)

Young has been on fire when it comes to spreading the ball around, going over this line in six of his last seven games. This is expected to be a high-scoring contest, so the Hawks guard should have plenty of opportunities to get to 12+ assists. The Thunder rank 22nd in opponent assists allowed, making the matchup favorable for Young.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 12.5 rebounds vs. Pacers (-166)

The Greek Freak has been dominant on the glass this season, averaging 13.1 per game over his last eight contests. He’s been able to rack up 13.5 rebounds per game against the Pacers in four meetings this season, going over this line in the last two games. He grabbed 18 rebounds in the January 1 meeting, and should be able to top this line tonight.

Bradley Beal over 1.5 3-pointers vs. Clippers (+114)

With Kevin Durant sidelined, Beal should take on more of a role in this game. The Suns shooting guard has looked excellent in his return to the floor, although he’s failed to go over this mark in the last three games. The Clippers are decent at defending the perimeter, but they are near the league average when it comes to opponent made triples. Look for Beal to can a couple from deep in this pivotal division contest.

Anthony Davis over 42.5 points + rebounds vs. Heat (-130)

Since sitting the contest against the Spurs, Davis is averaging 28.4 points and 11.9 rebounds per game over eight contests. He gets to face off against the Heat once again, a team he struggled against last time and had to battle an injury. Look for the Lakers big man to have a huge performance at home in this rematch.
