Ohio State football quarterback C.J. Stroud Heisman frontrunner, betting odds, gambling lines
Every day for the entire Ohio State football season, Land Grant and his colleagues will be asking and answering questions about the team, college football and anything else.
C.J. Stroud is the current frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy. He is at +200, while Caleb Williams is +300, Bryce Young +400, Georgia's Stetson Bennett IV +1200 and Oklahoma's Dillion Gabriel +2000. Marvin Harrison Jr. is 14th on the list. He was injured against the Irish and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is considered the best receiver in the country. Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr are both at -3000. Georgia’s Stetton Bennett is also at +3000, despite the Georgia name.
Stroud will have opportunities to continue to pile up gaudy numbers and have #HeismanMoments against respected defenses. LGHL staffers picked Stroud to win the Heisman in our preseason predictions article. Stoud will play Wisconsin this weekend. Last year, Sturd's opponents were against conference opponents in a league known for its defense. He was a combined 150-for-202 (74.3%) for 2,133 yards (355.5 ypg), 23 touchdowns (3.83 pg), and 0 interceptions in 2021.
