Prop bet #1: Tez Dispenser

Of all the heavy hitters for these star pivots to throw to, Tez Johnson has the most reasonable path to cracking his total, perhaps even by halftime.

The 5’10” junior has been electric down the stretch for the Oregon Ducks, with all three of his 100-yard games this year coming in the last four weeks.

His season-best performance was at the start of November, catching 12 balls for 180 yards and two scores in a 63-19 demolition of the Cal Bears.

Johnson followed that up with a seven-grab, 126-yard, two-TD effort in a 36-27 win over USC. After going six for 80 against Arizona State, he erupted against 16th-ranked Oregon State, with 11 catches for 137 yards.

I believe the main reason oddsmakers have tabbed him at 78.5 receiving yards – a total he’s topped in four straight games coming into Friday – is because he had seven catches for 71 yards against the Washington Huskies in Week 7.

Things. Done. Changed.

Washington doesn’t have a premier pass defense, giving up 265 yards through the air, which ranks 124th in the NCAA.

The Ducks are an offensive juggernaut, and Johnson will get plenty of touches in this one, courtesy of the guy throwing it to him, who is arguably the best pivot in the nation. He’s our next target.

Prop bet #2: Bo Knows Football

The current favorite in the Heisman Trophy odds, Bo Nix has been eating defenses alive down the stretch for the Ducks.

Last game against the Beavers, Nix went 33-for-40 for 367 yards and a pair of scores. That yardage output was his lowest in four November games.

In fact, he’s averaging a whopping 392.3 yards over that stretch, including two 400+ yard passing outings in blowouts over Arizona State and USC.

This Ducks offense is no joke: with Nix at the helm, they rank first in pass yards per game at 351.4, with Nix compiling a staggering 78.3 completion percentage, also tops in the country.

It’s no wonder Oregon is churning out a healthy 541.1 points per game and 7.9 yards per play, both Top-2 ranks in college football.

Nix has also already lit the Huskies on fire. Despite losing 36-33 in that Week 7 instant classic, the senior pivot went 33-for-44 for 337 yards with a pair of TDs.

There’s no damp or windy Pacific Northwest weather that could slow down their breakneck offense.

The climate-controlled conditions at Allegiant means he and his talented group of pass catchers will have a perfect track to showcase one last time why he is college football’s best player.

There’s plenty of motivation personally for Nix, but to avenge his only loss this year and potentially push the rival Huskies out of the College Football Playoff and slingshot themselves into the national championship picture should bring out the best in him.

Prop bet #3: Building Rome

We’ll finish with one of Washington QB Michael Penix Jr’s top targets. While the talented Husky pivot’s numbers have fluctuated, his top receiver has turned it up a gear ahead of the Pac-12 Championship.

Rome Odunze has gone for 100+ yards in the last three contests, raising his game after a midseason stretch where the junior went sub-100 in four of five games.

Remember that midseason stretch where he was effective but somewhat contained? His lone big game was an eight-catch, 128-yard, two-TD effort against these same Ducks.

Not that there’s any extra motivation needed, but the Las Vegas native will be coming home for the biggest game of his season.

The Ducks are inside the Top-50 in passing defense, surrendering 214.3 yards per game, but look for Penix Jr to target his 6’3”, 215-pound target often, especially in the redzone.

Against Oregon, Odunze hauled in scores from 17 and 18 yards out, including the eventual game-winner with 1:38 left to put Washington up for good.

At +380 odds, the odds are too good to pass up.
