Pelicans vs. Kings NBA Player Props, Odds: Picks, Predictions for In-Season Tournament

The New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings face off Monday in the second game of the NBA's In-Season Tournament quarterfinals, and we have you covered with our top Pelicans vs. Kings NBA player props based on the best NBA odds.

At long last, the much-hyped NBA-In Season Tournament knockout stage tips off this week with the quarterfinal round, which will see the Sacramento Kings host the New Orleans Pelicans in Monday's nightcap in a single-elimination spot to advance to Thursday's semifinal round.

The Kings (11-7) have followed last year's breakout season with a solid start to claim a top-four spot in the Western Conference and the No. 2 seed in the NBA In-Season Tournament. The Pelicans (11-10) shook off a rough stretch in early November to claim the No. 3 seed and a top-eight spot in the West.

Alongside our Celtics vs. Pacers NBA player props and our NBA Cup Odds 2023, here are our best Pelicans vs. Kings NBA player props and NBA picks (odds via ourbest NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Pelicans vs. Kings NBA player props

Zion Williamson Over 24.5 points (-102 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm shocked to see this scoring prop so low for Williamson, who has been on an absolute tear since the Pelicans' turnaround in mid-November.

On Nov. 12, New Orleans was coming off a five-game losing streak that culminated with an ugly home loss to the Dallas Mavericks. After the game, Williamson said he felt he was taking a "back seat" in the team's process, and his teammates called a players-only meeting a day later.

The difference has been palpable since. In his nine games since, Williamson is averaging 25.1 points on 61.7% shooting, and he's scored at least 25 points in seven of those nine games — highlighted by a season-high 33 points in Wednesday's win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

So why, exactly, is his scoring prop dealing so low here?

While this 24.5-point total is a tick higher than the rest of our best sports betting apps, Over 23.5 is trading as high as -150 at bet365 and -157 at Caesars, so this feels like an absolute bargain even at a higher total. You can bet Over 23.5 at -135 via DraftKings, but we like this -102 price at FanDuel at a mark that Williamson should clear with ease.

Zion Williamson Over 4.5 assists (-138 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

We're doubling down on Williamson props, as it just doesn't feel like the market is respecting the shift we've seen from the former No. 1 pick since his frustration bubbled over in early November.

Before that players-only meeting on Nov. 13, Williamson was averaging 4.1 assists and had posted five or more in just two of eight games. Since then, he's averaging 5.6 dimes and has finished with five or more assists in a whopping eight of nine contests.

Clearly, it's no fluke that Williamson's assist numbers have skyrocketed since that airing of grievances, and there are on-court reasons for it, too. Since that meeting, Williamson has brought the ball up the court on 17.3 possessions per game — nearly doubling that mark from his previous eight games (8.8).

"Point Zion" is here to stay, and the market is curiously slow to catch up. This would be a five-star play for me at a better price, but I'm still laying the juice here on a number that Williamson should hit.

It's also worth sprinkling a little on him to record at least six assists (+150 at FanDuel), which he's done in five of his last nine games (55.6%) — well above the 40% implied probability of this wager.

Malik Monk Over 2.5 3-pointers (+130 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After a relatively chalky pick above, we're taking our shot on a plus-money play that has cashed regularly through the first six weeks of the season.

While Monk has come off the bench for all 18 of his games this season, he's knocked down at least three 3-pointers in half of them. He's also surpassed this total three times in the last four games, including Saturday's 4-for-7 performance against the Denver Nuggets to register a season-high 26 points.

Monk has also seen his minutes increase in recent weeks, which has coincided with a bump to his shooting volume and efficiency.

In his first 10 games, Monk shot 35.1% from deep on 5.7 attempts per game. In eight games since, he's shooting 48.1% on 6.5 attempts per night, and he's hoisted at least six 3-point attempts in seven of those eight contests.

At that volume and efficiency, Monk is well positioned to cash this number on Monday, and the plus-money price is the cherry on top. This +130 price at bet365 is the best among our best sports betting sites, though you can also get similarly generous +128 odds at FanDuel.
