We’re hurtling towards the business end of the 2023/24 Premier League season now and we’re gearing up for a rare thing of late – a full Premier League weekend fixture list. The action kicks off on Saturday with Everton taking on Tottenham before three 3pm games and then Sheffield United v Aston Villa at 5.30pm.

There’s three 2pm Sunday matches with Manchester United hosting West Ham on the box and Arsenal v Liverpool taking centre stage at 4.30pm. We’ve also got Monday Night Football this week with Brentford taking on the mighty Manchester City in west London.

So, with so much action to get stuck in to, it’s only right that we bring in our resident tipster and Premier League predicting guru, Mark Lawrenson who’s champing at the bit to two-foot a full weekend’s top-flight action.

It was as really good 3-2 win for Tottenham against Brentford during the week and they have to be the most entertaining team in the league. Entertaining means that they sometimes concede and they got it all wrong for a while on Wednesday but they create so many chances. Everton had a 0-0 against Fulham last time out which was pretty dull. I fancy Spurs here. Everton 1-2 Tottenham.

They don’t like each other but it’s great, isn’t it, when the rivalry’s like 50-odd miles apart! Brighton have struggled and Crystal Palace, with their two star men back in Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, they basically beat Sheffield United on their own during the week. In saying that, I’m going to go for a Brighton win. Brighton 2-0 Crystal Palace.

Fulham have been in pretty poor form overall but they’re still a decent team. I’m going to go for them to win this. They’re big and strong at the back as well which always helps. Burnley 0-2 Fulham.

Both Newcastle and Luton had very good wins during the week. I thought Newcastle were very good at Aston Villa and Luton just completely bamboozled Brighton. It’s not like you go to Luton and not know what you’re going to get. It was a great win for them but I do think Newcastle have the strength to hold them off, especially with their two main centre backs back in the side. Newcastle 3-0 Luton.

Sheffield United took the lead at Crystal Palace and they couldn’t hold on to it. They had chances to get a point, there’s nothing wrong with the spirit it’s just the quality that’s lacking and if you keep conceding in this league you’ve got no chance. Aston Villa, you’d probably say they’re just going through a little bit of a dip. I’m going to go for a score draw, we always get a strange result every weekend and this could be it. Sheffield United 1-1 Aston Villa.

Bournemouth have home advantage but Nottingham Forest are a smash-and-grab team. I fancy another draw here. Bournemouth 1-1 Nottingham Forest.

I think Chelsea might get a reaction here. They can’t be as bad again as they were against Liverpool on Wednesday. I think they’ll probably change formation as well. I’ll go for Chelsea to win, although that’s not with any great conviction. I’m not sure Wolves will score at Chelsea. Chelsea 2-0 Wolves.

West Ham will to go Old Trafford and park the bus but David Moyes’ record isn’t the best at the big sides as we know. Manchester United 2-1 West Ham.

For once I’m going to go against Liverpool, I think Arsenal might beat them. They just seem to have got their mojo back a little bit and Gabriel Jesus is starting to look a player again. Liverpool rolled them over in the FA Cup the other day but, in all honesty, Arsenal should have been two or three up in the first 20 minutes. I’m going for Arsenal to win, though it hurts me to say it! Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool.

Brentford clearly don’t like other London teams as we say in that feisty game with Spurs in the week! They think everyone looks down on them which is why they’re at it when they play the other London teams but this is Manchester City coming to town with Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland both back fit so you have to back an away win. Brentford 0-2 Manchester City.
