Michael Owen makes Nottingham Forest Premier League prediction

Former Premier League striker Michael Owen has backed Nottingham Forest to finish the 2023/24 season in 13th place, as he gives his prediction of the final table.

There is now just over a week until the new campaign kicks off. Forest start their season with an away trip to take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Last season saw the Reds battling against relegation. They secured their safety in the league with one match to go, when they came out as 1-0 winners over the Gunners at the City Ground.

Steve Cooper ’s side finished the season in 16th place in the table, four points clear of relegated Leicester City. Leeds United and Southampton were the other two teams to finish in the bottom three, and they were replaced by Luton Town, Sheffield United and Burnley.

Putting his predicted table on Twitter, Owen thinks that two of the three newly-promoted teams in Luton and Sheffield United will go down at the end of the season. The pundit also has Wolves joining them in the bottom three.

At the other end of the table, he has Man City finishing top and Arsenal finishing in second place. The top four are made up of Liverpool and Manchester United, with Chelsea and Aston Villa finishing in the Europa League places.
