Preview, Tips and Best Bets for Doomben Wednesday, December 14

There are only six races on Wednesday's Doomben card. The track should be soft. Guilia is the best bet in Race 2 No 1.

Isabella's Spring (Race 3 No 4) is the next best bet for Wednesday, December 14.

Chris Waller has ROSATO (7) resuming in the Maiden Plate 1200m. Barry Lockwood has taken over the training of I AM PEARL (4) and he could make his presence felt. SARSEN (2) has had a quiet trial but is well-placed with Jaden Lloyd's 1.5kg claim. Kyle Wilson-Taylor has two debutants on WHAT'S UP HONEY (9) with Martin Harley getting the ride.

Guilia (1) is back to midweek grade after finding Listed company too strong. SMART START PRINCE (4) had support and just missed to Dark Horse when resuming at the Gold Coast. Sliver GALAXY (5) has burst out of the blocks this preparation with back-to-back wins. Teranga (6) would like longer but has a touch of class.

ISABELLA'S SPRING (4) returns to midweek company after four outings in Saturday grade. She hit the line well last start to be beaten less than a length. REFLECT THE STARS (7) has been improved by three outings and made good ground to place behind Deel Of Humour and Gambu at the Gold Coast. CIRCLING is improving at each outing and drops 3kg.

King KAPA (1) has won first-up previously and Ryan Maloney will have him near the speed in the Class 2 Handicap 1110m. PUTONTHEREDLIGHT (2) is a frustrating conveyance but her recent trial was sound. Campa (10) put in two bold efforts since resuming winning at the Gold Coast and will be hard to run down again.

HOLD ON HONEY (3) has won back-to-back races since resuming. Single Dizzy (7) was too speedy when resumming at Toowoomba. Office Jim (2) brings strong Southern form and has an excellent first-up record. Your Too Good (10) is resumptioning on the back of two strong trials at Beaudesert.

KOPANGI (1) is the one to beat in the Class 1 Handicap 1660m at Doomben on Wednesday, December 14th. SO YOU KNEW (5) improves second-up and Ben Thompson replaces Georgina Cartwright. OKALANI (7) disappointed last start but was used up from a wide gate. Larry Cassidy replaces Jim Orman and a more patient ride may be required. VAN NUYS (6) has less convictions than most and was too good from the wide open gate to win a Maiden at the Sunshine Coast.
