PrizePicks NBA Predictions Today

The Knicks have continued to play decent basketball despite long-term injuries to a couple of key players. Donte DiVincenzo has stepped up his game in recent weeks with Julius Randle and OG Anunoby sidelined, and the Villanova product has quickly earned the trust of Tom Thibodeau in his first year with the team. So far in February, DiVincenzo is averaging a robust 38.5 minutes per game. That’s up considerably from his season average of just 25.3.

Tonight, DiVo and the Knicks will be back in action when they host the Pistons. This is a favorable spot for New York against one of the NBA’s most porous defenses, but DiVincenzo still isn’t really stuffing the stat sheet despite his elevated minutes. His scoring is way up this month (22.4 points per game) thanks to a higher usage rate, but he’s still only contributing 3.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in February.

This admittedly isn’t the most comfortable play, considering DiVincenzo is capable of playing 40+ minutes in a regulation game, but our PrizePicks pick’em tool thinks taking DiVincenzo to total less than 7.5 combined rebounds and assists is the best course of action here.

  • PLAY:LESS Than 7.5 Rebounds + Assists

The Pacers have been among the NBA’s most pleasant surprises this season. Indiana picked up a very impressive win on Sunday with a surprising 133-111 drubbing of the red-hot Mavs, and they’ll be back on the hardwood tonight at home against Toronto. The Raptors defense has cratered since the team traded Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, so it’s hardly a surprise to see that the high-flying Pacers have the highest implied team total on the night (125.5 points).

The Raptors are also yielding an average of 5.3 blocked shots per game this year, which is among the highest marks in the league. Myles Turner hasn’t necessarily been a consistent source of minutes with Rick Carlisle running a deep rotation, but he’s still among the game’s most prolific paint protectors. Turner’s average of 1.7 blocks per game is healthy enough, considering he’s only playing around 27 minutes per game. If he doesn’t improve his output over the next couple of months, this will be the first season since 2017-18 in which Turner didn’t block at least 2 shots per game.

Given Toronto’s proclivity for having their shots rejected, this looks like a good spot to bank on Turner to rack up at least a couple of swats.

  • PLAY: Than 1.5 Blocked Shots

Gary Trent has only been a member of the Raptors since 2020, but he’s now one of the team’s longest-tenured players. Toronto’s roster has undergone quite the makeover so far this season, and the team’s aforementioned trades have cleared the sharpshooter to play a bigger role in recent weeks. He’s only averaging around 26 minutes per game on the season, but he’s now topped 30 minutes in each of the last 3 games and 4 of the last 6.

Trent is out there to do one thing, and that one thing is to shoot. He’s been more than happy to oblige, as evidenced by his 26 combined field goal attempts over the past 2 games. The first outing was a highly efficient 9-for-12 showing that resulted in 25 points. In the last game, however, Trent connected on just 4 of his 14 tries and whimpered his way to a 13-point showing.

The Raptors are underdogs in Indiana tonight, but the matchup is elite. Toronto’s 119.25 total is actually the 2nd-highest of the 8 teams in action this evening, and Trent should benefit greatly from the expected pace of this one.

  • PLAY: Than 11.5 Points
