Queen's Plate winner Moira faces challenge in Breeders' Cup race
Moira will race in the US$2-million Filly and Mare Turf event at 1 3/16 miles on Saturday at Keeneland. She earned trainer Kevin Attard his first Queen's Plate title earlier this year. Frankie Dettori will ride her. Lady Speightspeare will start from the No. 1 post. There are two Canadian entries in 12-horse field. There is a global field with seven horses from Canada, Ireland and the UK. Moira won the Woodbine Oaks in July. The filly didn't race again until the $750,000 E.P. Taylor Stakes on October 8.
