Rory McIlroy heads to Southern California for the 123rd U.S. Open as the No. 3 player in the world and near the top of the odds board.

With so many betting markets available for the season's third major at the Los Angeles Country Club, we've listed our favorite Rory McIlroy bets ahead of the action.

2023 U.S. Open best bets: Best Rory McIlroy props for LACC

Rory McIlroy has been playing excellent golf this year and is in good form with three consecutive top-10 finishes (T9, T7, T7), including the PGA Championship in May.

The 2011 U.S. Open champion has been in the headlines for everything that's going on in the game off the course, but here we are focusing on the action between the ropes and some Rory McIlroy prop bets to consider this week.

U.S. Open Rory McIlroy picks: Outright winner (+1300 or better)

After winning the U.S. Open in 2011, McIlroy has had his share of struggles at the tournament, including three consecutive missed cuts from 2016-18.

But the 34-year-old has found his form over the last four years, finishing no worse than T9.

He flirted with a three-peat at the RBC Canadian Open last week and appears to be heating up just in time for the year's third major.

This will be the first major tournament since the PGA Tour blindsided its players with the bombshell of a LIV merger.

As golf fans know, McIlroy has been a staunch opponent of the Saudi-backed league. A win at the U.S. Open would be almost poetic for the four-time major winner.

2023 U.S. Open Rory McIlroy props: Top 10 finish (+130 or better)

Rory McIlroy will tee off at LACC looking for his second U.S. Open championship and first major in nearly a decade.

After a rough patch earlier this year that saw him miss back-to-back cuts at The Players Championship and Masters, the Northern Irishman has righted the ship.

McIlroy has six top-ten finishes this season, including the last three tourneys he's played. He's also landed T10 at four straight U.S. Opens (T5, T7, T8, T9).

The statistical profile includes ranking 8th in total strokes gained, 3rd in SG: Off The Tee, and 19th in approach. McIlroy is above-average in most of the other important stats this week.

Best U.S. Open golf props: McIlroy, Rahm, Koepka all to finish top 20 (+340 at FanDuel)

This bet features two of the world's top three golfers and Brooks Koepka – a major championship beast.

Koepka had an impressive T2 at the Masters earlier this year and then dominated the final round of the PGA Championship en route to his fifth major.

Aside from his blip at the U.S. Open last year (55), Koepka had seven consecutive top-20 U.S. Open finishes (including two wins).

Meanwhile, Jon Rahm leads the PGA Tour in wins this year and has excelled at the U.S. Open with top-20 finishes in three of four years (T12, Win, T23, T3).

Rory McIlroy U.S. Open props: To miss cut (+320 or better)

If you want to go contrarian and fade McIlroy, there's an option for you.

The U.S. Open has been known to bring even the world's best golfers to their knees, and Rory knows that as well as anybody.

Surprisingly, McIlroy has missed five of 14 U.S. Open cuts in his career. The 36% missed-cut average is almost triple his career average of 13% (201/231).

He's only missed two this year, but both were high-profile tournaments (Player's Championship, Masters). Making the cut is not a certainty for anyone at the U.S. Open.
