Brooks Koepka prop bets and more 2023 US Open props for LACC

As 123rd U.S. Open tees off this Thursday, Brooks Koepka will look to secure back-to-back majors following an eye-opening victory at the PGA Championship last month.

Below are some Brooks Koepka props for the U.S. Open this week at the Los Angeles Country Club.

2023 U.S. Open betting picks: Best Brooks Koepka prop bets for LACC this week

Just when it looked like injuries had demoted Brooks Koepka into golf obscurity, he’s bounced back with dominant performances in consecutive majors.

While he’s not the odds-on favorite at the U.S. Open, the five-time major champion could be the man to beat this week.

U.S. Open Brooks Koepka best bets: Outright winner (+1200 or better)

Brooks Koepka looks very much like the wrecking ball he was between 2017-19 when he won four majors and earned world No. 1 status.

The 33-year-old finished T2 at the Masters and then put on a final-round clinic at the PGA Championship to run away from the competition. This big-stage guy has proven he’s still one of golf’s alphas.

While picking an outright winner is difficult in a 156-man field of the world’s best, Koepka has as good of a chance as anyone this week.

2023 U.S. Open first round bets: Brooks Koepka 3-ball (+155 at FanDuel)

It’s hard to gauge Koepka against the competition this year since most of his golf has been played in shorts against weaker competition in the three-round LIV League.

But what we do know is that he outperformed both Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama at the year’s two big dances.

McIlroy missed the cut at both majors (his only two MCs this season), while Matsuyama posted a T29 at the PGA Championship and a T16 at the Masters.

We like Koepka to keep his momentum going with a solid first round at the LACC.

Brooks Koepka props: Top 20 finish (-160 or better)

This is as close to a layup as you can get and still get semi-respectable odds.

While nothing is a certainty at the U.S. Open, it would be hard to imagine Koepka outside the top 20 after the way he's performed at the previous two majors.

Aside from that, the Florida native has two U.S. Open titles under his belt.

If you throw out last year’s T55 when he clearly wasn’t healthy, Brooksy had gone seven appearances with no worse than a T18 finish (T4, 2, Win, Win, T13, T18, T4).

2023 U.S. Open prop bets: Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm to finish in top 10 (+370 at FanDuel)

Jon Rahm is the second-ranked player in the world, and Brooks Koepka is one of the very best we've seen at major tournaments.

On paper, it would not be a surprise to see both in the top ten this weekend at the U.S. Open.

Of course, golf has myriad variables, and the LACC is a relatively unknown course to PGA Tour players. Still, if you want to go after some plump odds, you could do worse than Rahm and Koepka.

Both have finished top ten at the U.S. Open in two of the previous four years. Put it this way, if you would have put $100 on this bet in each of the last four years, you'd be up $340.
