San Diego Loyal vs Borussia Dortmund live stream (7/27/23): How to watch, time, channel, betting odds

German power Borussia Dortmund arrives in San Diego Thursday for the first of three international club friendlies for a United States crowd. Dortmund will take on the San Diego Loyal of the United Soccer League’s Western Division in a match slated for a 10:30 p.m. ET start at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

The Dortmund-Loyal club friendly will air live on ESPN2, with live streams available through FuboTV, which offers a 7-day free trial and DirecTV Stream (5-day free trial).

Dortmund was a runner-up to Bayern Munich in Germany’s Bundesliga behind a strong defense, league assist leader Raphael Guerreiro and Karim Adeyemi, who was the fastest recorded player in the Bundesliga last season. The matchup with the San Diego Loyal will be Dortmund’s fifth friendly of the 2023 calendar year and fourth in July. The club is 4-0 in those contests to date, most recently taking a 2-1 win over FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt.

The San Diego Loyal currently sit in fifth place in the USL’s Western Division with an 8-5-6 record and a plus-9 goal differential in 19 matches. Evan Conway leads the club in scoring and is tied for ninth in the USL with his eight goals, while Tumi Moshobane is tied for second in the USL with his five assists. San Diego went into a 16-day competitive break having won two of its past three matches before resuming USL play this weekend.

Dortmund is a massive favorite to take care of business against its USL foe, checking in with -3500 odds to win, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. San Diego has +4700 odds to pull the upset and a draw goes off at +1500 odds.
