Sports Betting Applicant List Grows In Ohio
Ohio gaming officials updated the list of sports wagering operators seeking approval to accept bets in the state. Gov. Mike DeWine signed sports betting into law late last year. The Ohio Casino Control Commission set Jan. 1, 2023 as the date when all licensed sports betters can begin accepting wagers at the same time.
Deadlines for mobile and land-based sports betting operators that applied by July 15 can begin accepting bets on the Jan. 1 universal start date. Those that didn't come in after July, or weren't postmarked by then, can't start on Jan., 1, 2023.
The list of sports betting operators and service providers seeking a sports gambling license in Ohio is updated every Friday afternoon.
