Stars vs. Kraken prediction and odds for NHL playoffs Game 4

The Dallas Stars are attempting to mimic their opening round series against the Minnesota Wild in Round 2 against the Seattle Kraken. Just like against the Wild, the Stars have lost Game 1 and Game 3 but won Game 2.

If history repeats itself, the Stars will win three straight games to win the series in six.

Let’s dive into the odds for the pivotal Game 4 in Seattle on Tuesday night.

Stars vs. Kraken odds, puck line, and total

Stars vs. Kraken prediction and pick

The Dallas Stars are facing an 1-2 deficit in the series, but they’ve been the much better team based on advanced metrics. For example, the Stars have an expected goals per 60 minutes of 3.59, compared to the Kraken at just 2.35.

That 60.48% expected goals percentage is by far the best mark in the second round of the postseason.

The only reason the Kraken are winning this series is there’s been a mix of great shooting by the Kraken and poor goaltending by Jake Oettinger. As one of the best young goalies in the NHL, we have strong evidence that leads me to believe that Oettinger will bounce back and start to lock things down as the series progresses.

I have no fear backing the Stars in a pivotal Game 4 on Tuesday.
