Supercomputer makes Arsenal and Tottenham final table prediction in Premier League title race

Arsenal will miss out on the Premier League title and Tottenham Hotspur will slip out of a Champions League spot.

This comes from the findings from Bettingexpert's supercomputer, BETSiE, that has predicted the outcome of the Premier League after all 38 matches of the season have been completed. The table has predicted the finishes based on a series of statistical algorithms.

At the top, Manchester City are expected to win their fourth title in a row, breaking Manchester United’s Premier League record of three successive league titles between 2006 and 2009. Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United make up second, third and fourth.

Mikel Arteta and Arsenal would no doubt be disappointed at such a finish but finishing second twice in a row would represent a good level of consistency in a highly competitive league. At the same time, he will want to break that City dominance at some point.

Spurs are expected to miss out on a Champions League spot, slumping into fifth, with Aston Villa in sixth. Brighton are placed just below Chelsea in eighth.

Ange Postecoglou started the season brilliantly but some of his team lost their heads in the recent 4-1 loss to Chelsea. A series of suspensions and injuries could rip their strong start apart because squad depth has always looked to be an issue for the North Londoners.

The predictor has United finishing ninth which would represent their lowest final position since the Premier League began in 1992. Erik ten Hag’s men have struggled to build momentum over the course of the campaign and his place is under threat.

Burnley, Luton Town and Sheffield United are expected to be relegated back to the Championship. All three had just gained promotion to the top flight in the summer so an instant relegation to the second tier would highlight the big divide between the two divisions.
