Tennessee Football: Where Vols are ranked in updated CFP Top 25
Tennessee football is ranked No. 7 in the newest College Football Top 25. The CFP Selection Committee released their new rankings Tuesday night. Alabama is still ranked ahead of the Vols. Penn State is No 8, Clemson is 9th, Kansas State 10th and Ohio State 5th. Georgia remains No 1, Michigan is 2nd, TCU is 3rd and USC is 4th in CFF's rankings.
Four of the top nine teams from last week’s CFP Top 25 lost on Saturday. No. 2 Ohio State lost to No 3 Michigan 45-23 in Columbus, No 5 LSU lost 38- 23 at Texas A&M, and No 8 Clemson lost at home to South Carolina 31-30. Tennessee was ranked No 1 in the initial CFPU Top 10 on November 1, after starting the season 8-0. Since then the Vols have dropped games at No1 Georgia and at South. Carolina. They dropped to 5 after the Georgia loss, then to 10 after losing at S.C.
