On Saturday Oakland came back from a 2-0 deficit but then immediately gave it back on the way to a 3-2 loss. Zack Gelof had the RBI with a two-run homer.

In game two the Rangers got three walks and two runs from Robbie Grossman in the victory. Leody Taveras added two hits and an RBI as well. 

It’ll be Jon Gray in the starting pitcher role for the finale. Across 25 starts this year Gray is 8-7 with a 3.85 ERA and 128 Ks in 142.2 innings. Gray is 2-2 with a 5.26 ERA in his last seven starts total.

I’ll try the Rangers in this one. You could probably make a good case either way, though. Gray has been okay but not great in his last pair, giving up six earned runs over 11.0 innings on 11 hits and five walks. As for Medina, he’s got seven earned runs over his last 11.2 innings total in the past three outings. In Saturday’s matchup, Texas only had five hits, but they made them count. The Rangers only have 10 combined runs over the last four games, though. Their opponents have 34 runs during that time. Texas needs to get the bats going in this finale.
