Kimbrel had a good season in 2022, but he didn't have much success with his swing-and-miss stuff. He threw the third-highest rate of strikes in his career. The following season, he had an excellent year, and then the next year the problem came back. He should have been at least a decent reliever, not an average one. It's possible that his stuff will start working again. If it does, it might give him the confidence to throw less. In the past, the same thing happened in 2015. This time, however, hitters started chasing after Kimbrel's pitches again, having forgotten what they learned a year earlier.
