These six riders could crash the SD Worx party at Strade Bianche

Anna van der Breggen and her SD Worx teammates won Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. They will try to repeat their success at Strade Bianche. Anna is at or near her top form. Strades Bianches is a harder race than OMLoop. There are a number of riders who could spoil SD worx's party. I've picked six riders I think could win the race. The scenario that would springboard each of them to victory. It's possible that flat tires, crazy weather and unpredictable tactics could ruin the party on Saturday.

Annemiek van Vleuten is the two-time defending champion at Strade Bianche. She was out of position at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and finished 21st, 2:22 down. If she's on form, she presents the biggest challenge to SD Worx.

Van Vleuten's path to victory is pretty simple. She attacks up the Le Tolfe climb, drops van der Breggen and everyone else, and then solos into victory.

Elisa Longo Borghini is the leader of Trek-Segafredo's attack force. Lizzie Deignan is providing the other punch. Lucinda Brand and Audrey Cordon-Ragot are other cards in Trek's hand.

Longo Borghini is going to fight van der Breggen on the final climbs and come into the last push to Sienna in good position.

Kasia Niewiadoma has not reached the top of the podium at Strade Bianche four times. She is a top climber and head of one of most experienced squads in the Women's WorldTour. Niewidoma won the 2019 Amstel Gold Race.

Niewiadoma's path to victory at Strade Bianche is to survive the late attacks and then attack at the right moment.

Amanda Spratt takes control of BikeExchange for the hilly classics like Strade Bianche. She has a lot of power but she lacks the same speed as Annemiek van Vleuten and van der Breggen.

Spratt attacks on an innocuous section of road and van Vleuten and Van der Breggen hesitate, allowing her to get a small gap that she holds to the line.

Mavi Garcia finished second at Strade Bianche last year. She's a climber and time trialist. These six riders could crash the SD Worx party at the Strad Bianco.

Garcia is going to have to win the race the old fashioned way.

Marianne Vos is a potential winner of Strade Bianche. She has never won it before. Vose is the most experienced rider in the pack.

Vos is not at the same climbing level as van Vleuten and van der Breggen. She needs to get to the base of Piazza del Campo in a lead group and then play her tactical cards correctly.
