Christine Majerus and Marlen Rousser are both winners in themselves. Demi Vollering, the 2017 World Champion, laid it all on the cobbled climbs of the Flemish Ardennes for her leader. Chantal van den Broek-Blaak carried Kopesky to the finish. The team was tailored to their course like a Savile Row suit. It was not under threat. The race went exactly to plan.
