Top jocks Ortiz, Jr., Rosario leg up at Del Mar

Irad Ortiz, Jr. and Joel Rosario will ride on Sunday's card at Del Mar. Ortiz is a three-time Eclipse Award winner and has won the race every year since 2017. Rosarios won riding titles at the meet in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He will also ride Carver in the first race, Hawker in third, Bright Leaf in eighth and Hudson Ridge in ninth.
Free & Fun Sundays will be happening tomorrow at Del Mar. Diamond Club members get free admission and a program. They also get a free seat and food and beverage discounts.
Mike Smith worked horses at Santa Anita on Friday and then went to Del Mar to gallop War At Sea. The main track will be open for horsemen in the mornings through Wednesday.
Jockey and trainer standings are based on the results of the last three years. Winning favorites are 36 out of 96, in-the-money favorites 71 out 96 and 16 out 18.
