Toronto Blue Jays vs Minnesota Twins Prediction 6-10-23 MLB Picks

Minnesota Twins 

The Twins played the Rays this week and had zero luck in a three-game losing sweep. On Friday versus Toronto, Minnesota scored a run in the top of the 10th and eked out a 3-2 victory. Sonny Gray lasted 5.0 innings in the start with one earned, five hits and two walks. 

For the starter job in the Saturday game, the Twins will send out Joe Ryan. This year Ryan is 7-3 with a 2.76 ERA in 12 starts. He has 80 Ks in 71.2 innings. Ryan is 22-12 with a 3.38 ERA in 44 career stats. 

Toronto Blue Jays

Over on the Toronto side, they took on Houston this week and won three of four games. On Friday the Jays came back from a 2-0 deficit but couldn’t complete the victory turnaround. Yusei Kikuchi managed 5.0 innings with two earned on four hits and a walk in the start. 

In the starting slot Saturday the Blue Jays didn’t immediately announce a name.

I’ll try the Twins in this one. Ryan is just 1-2 in his last three starts however, so he’ll need some backup from the bats. The good news is that Ryan pitched well his last time up, giving up two earned on two hits and a walk in 6.2 innings versus Cleveland. On Friday the Twins got a big night from Michael Taylor, who knocked in all three runs (Royce Lewis also went 4-for-4 with a run). Minnesota is going to need a better all-around performance with the bats in game two.
