Touching down in London town - the UFC returns to the English capital for a 15-match Fight Night card at the O2 Arena in July. 

This time British #5 heavyweight Tom Aspinall makes his awaited octagon comeback, taking on Polish contender Marcin Tybura.

It'll be almost exactly a year ago to the day when Salford-born Tom Aspinall suffered a devastating knee injury, tearing his MCL and meniscus just 15 seconds into a main event bout with Curtis Blaydes.

That ended an eight-fight winning streak for Aspinall who had soared up the rankings with a flurry of first-round finishes over top-10 contenders like Sergei Spivak and Alexander Volkov.

"Tybur" is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Blagoy Ivanonv in February, which made it seven wins from his last eight appearances in the octagon. The 37-year-old heavyweight has fought 17 times in the UFC since 2016 and eyes adding a huge scalp like Aspinall to his résumé.

Heavyweight fights are often volatile due to the one-punch power that certain individuals possess. However, neither Aspinall nor Tybura is one of those guys.

The Brit is a well-rounded technical fighter, astute at applying offensive wrestling better than most in the division, while possessing equally impressive skills on the feet.

There's quite a significant gulf in striking between the pair, with Tom also holding notable advantages in speed, skill and athleticism over his Polish opponent. 

This contest should see Aspinall keep Tybura at range, using his fast hands and more accurate boxing to pummel his slow-footed adversary whenever he attempts to close the gap. Even if Tybura manages to take it to the mat, Tom will have the upper hand there too. 

Seven of Tybur's last nine wins have come by decision, against rudimentary opposition, showcasing how he lacks the finishing ability to record an upset in Saturday night's headliner.

In Aspinall's case, 11 of his 12 victories have come inside the first round. He's also never seen the third round in his 15-fight career so far, letting you know exactly how devastating he's been up to this point.

That being said, there may be a touch of tentativeness in the opening rack from the native fighter. Once he's found his feet after a year's layoff, he's likely to shift into the higher gears during the second round and swiftly put an end to this fight.
