Ulster statement: Sutherland deal and talks with a Springboks prop

Ulster have signed prop Rory Sutherland on a short-term deal. Negotiations are at an advanced stage with a Springboks prop, believed to be Steven Kitshoff. Ulster were due to host Ospreys in their latest URC match on Saturday. They are looking to supplement their young homegrown players over the next four years. Ulster boss Dan McFarland has an exciting stable of young Irish-qualified props. He is looking forward to welcoming Rory into the squad next week and making further announcements on their recruitment for next season. The club is always looking for players to improve their squad.
