Way-too-early 2023 MLB Mock Draft

Pittsburgh Pirates won the first pick in the Major League Baseball Draft. The Minnesota Twins jumped into the top five and will gain a significant bonus pool gain. Chicago White Sox will have the 26th overall pick and should have well over $8 million to spend this year.

Mike Shirley will make his fourth draft in the big chair. Shirley has chosen from different demographics in his first three attempts.

Dylan Crews is an outfielder with plus power and defense. He is the early favorite for the number one spot in Pittsburgh's order.

Max Clark is a dynamic five-tool talent from the Indianapolis area. Washington Nationals go for upside here.

Jacob Gonzalez, SS, Ole Miss, is drafted by Detroit Tigers in the third round of the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Chase Dollander, a college pitcher from Tennessee, is a front-of-the-rotation starter with high-90's heat and an excellent slider. Chris Young hasn't been shy about taking college pitching recently.

The Minnesota Twins picked Walker Jenkins, an outfielder from South Brunswick HS in North Carolina. Jenkins is one of the best prep hitters in the class.

Jacob Wilson played for Team USA this summer. He played shortstop last season. Wilson is likely to be a top ten pick in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Cincinnati Reds pick Wyatt Langford, OF, Florida at No. 7 in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft. Langford is a right-handed hitter with a hit tool and power projection.

Enrique Bradfield, OF, Vanderbilt, is drafted by Kansas City Royals at 8th overall.

Aidan Miller, a prep player from Florida, is drafted by Colorado Rockies at 9th overall in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Paul Skenes is a 6-foot-6-inch, 235-pounder with plus power potential with the bat and a plus arm. He played for Team USA this summer.

Perry Minasian has signed Brayden Taylor, a left-handed hitting third baseman from TCU.

Kevin McGonigle is a left-handed hitter who should stay on the infield dirt. He has an excellent offensive track record on prep circuit.

Rhett Lowder was named ACC Pitcher of the Year at Wake Forest. He pitched for Team USA.

Colt Emerson is a left-handed-hitting infielder with advanced skills at the dish.

Thomas White is a left-handed southpaw who plays for Phillips Academy in MA. He is committed to Vanderbilt. White has a fastball that touches 96 mph and high-spin breaking stuff.

The San Francisco Giants are going to draft Hurston Waldrep, a 6-2, 205-pound right-handed pitcher from Florida.

Matt Shaw is a good value at 17th overall. He was outstanding in the Cape Cod League.

Maui Ahuna, a shortstop, has transferred to Tennessee for the 2023 season. Ahunas played for Team USA this summer.

Noble Meyer is a prep righty from Jesuit HS in Oregon. He has a plus-plus fastball with a slider and throws tons of strikes.

Yohandy Morales is a third-round pick in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft. He plays solid defense at third base and has shown big power.

Tanner Witt, a 6-5, 215-pound right-handed pitcher from Texas, is drafted by the Cardinals at No. 21 in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft. Witt had Tommy John surgery in 2018.

Seattle Mariners pick Tommy Troy, IF, Stanford, at 22 in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Cleveland Indians pick Will Sanders, a 6-6, 215-pounder from South Carolina, at No. 23 in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Chad Kuehler, a 6-0, 205-pound right-handed pitcher from Campbell, is the latest player to be drafted in the 2023 MLB Mock Draft.

Seattle receives Julio Rodriguez as compensation for winning Rookie of the Year. Seattle will pick Arjun Nimmala, SS, from Strawberry Crest HS (FL) at No. 29.

Dylan Cupp is a shortstop from Cedartown HS in Georgia. He has been a high level circuit performer.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have drafted pitchers from Vanderbilt before. Patrick Reilly throws high-90's heat but needs to improve his control and command. The Dodgers first pick is moved back ten spots due to being over the competitive balance tax threshold.
