The owner, Jerry Reinsdorf, wants LaRussa to stay in charge until 2020. He wants to blame injuries for the team's failure to make the playoffs this season. It's a shame that he didn't want to present Guilen to Sox fans. They were a .500 team almost from start to finish. His previous manager, Miguel Cairo, was fired. Rein's favoritism for people with connections to him hurt the chances of him hiring Guilleen.
