Who will qualify from Group 2 ft. India, South Africa, Pakistan

The Super 12 phase of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia is about to end. Five out of six teams from Group 2 are still working on their calculators to find out their qualification possibilities.

Pakistan, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup. India and South Africa are the only two teams who can qualify from the Super 12s. The Netherlands have been eliminated from this tournament.

India are well-placed in Group 2. They need to beat Zimbabwe to guarantee the top spot. If they lose, they can still qualify if South Africa and Pakistan lose their respective matches.

South Africa have the easiest match to play. They need to beat Netherlands to confirm their place among the final four. If the Dutch team pull off an upset, South Africa will need a favour from Bangladesh for defeating Pakistan.

Pakistan's hopes of reaching the knockouts are in doubt after two defeats. They need to beat Bangladesh and either India's or South Africa's loss to make it to the semi-finals.

Bangladesh's NRR is -1.276. They have four points, same as Pakistan. If they beat Pakistan by a fair margin, they can make it to the semi-finals. However, if India or South Africa lose their matches, Bangladesh would prefer South African defeat than India's.

Zimbabwe's NRR is -0.313. They need to beat India by a huge margin and South Africa to lose against the Netherlands. Pakistan vs Bangladesh match could also be washed out.
