How to buy tickets for India's World Cup 2023 semifinal match?

India have secured its position in the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2023 with 16 points from 8 matches, and even if they lose their next game against the Netherlands on November 12, they will remain at the top of the points table.

The semi-final match is scheduled to be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15, where India will face the team finishing in the 4th position. However, if Pakistan finishes fourth, then the match will be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Who will India play in the 2023 World Cup semifinal?

New Zealand

As per the current standings, India are first, South Africa second, Australia third and New Zealand fourth. The Kiwis could remain in that position by defeating Sri Lanka in their final group game, and if fifth-placed Pakistan's net run rate does not overtake theirs.

Pakistan

Pakistan currently sit in fifth place with eight points, the same total as New Zealand. They beat the Kiwis in a rain-affected match in Bengaluru yesterday to win by 21 runs via the DLS method, with their 200/1 after 25.3 overs ahead of the par score in a chase of 402.

In order to qualify for the semifinals, Pakistan will have to beat England in their final group match by a large enough margin to overtake New Zealand's net run rate, if the Kiwis beat Sri Lanka. If New Zealand lose, or their match is washed out, Pakistan will just need to win the game.

Afghanistan

At the start of the tournament, no one would have given Afghanistan a chance of finishing in the top four but with currently sitting in sixth with just two games to go, they have their destiny in their own hands. Having won four out of seven games so far, two wins in the last two fixtures would see them qualify.

However, since these matches are against Australia and South Africa, two of the current top three, this is extremely unlikely. They can go through with just one win, but only if both Pakistan and New Zealand lose their final matches.

Australia

Australia currently sit in third place with 10 points, but if they lose both of their remaining matches to Afghanistan and Bangladesh, and New Zealand win their final game by a large enough margin to overtake their net run rate, the Aussies will slip to fourth in the table and meet India in the semifinal at Wankhede Stadium.
