Yankees want to sign Carlos Rodón. Rodon is a free agent and wants a seven-year deal worth $210 million minimum. Yankees are reluctant to pay that amount. Aaron Judge's signing hasn't cooled the Yankees' interest in Rodona.
Carlos Rodón is not too long out of a minor-league deal. He was signed to one two seasons ago but opted out after the first season. Rodon was impressive last season, going 14-8 with a 2.88 ERA (140 ERA+), 1.03 WHIP and 237 strikeouts in 178 innings.
The Yankees want to sign Carlos Rodón. Rodon has a history of shoulder problems. The Cardinals are also in the mix. The Twins are not. It's not certain if a deal will be made. However, Rodona is the best remaining starter on the market.
