Yankees, Mets fans should brace for big changes to watching MLB on YES Network, SNY, ESPN. ESPN is preparing to roll out direct-to-consumer presentation of its content.
YES and SNY will have their own direct-to-consumer sports networks by the start of next baseball season. They will be priced similarly to NESN's. The networks have smaller potential audiences to draw on, compared to ESPN, but their audiences of diehard Red Sox, Yankees and Mets fans are very loyal.
