Cheltenham Festival: Mystery over billionaire JP McManus' new horse who rockets to top of Cross Country market
Prengarde is a six-year-old cross-country horse trained in France. He is being bought by JP McManus and trainer Enda Bolger. Prengarde is already the favourite for the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham Festival. He has won five of his six starts in cross country racing. His last victory was in Grand Cross de Compiegne in November. Charlie Swan, responsible for most of Mc manus's purchases in French, and bloodstock agent Hubert Barbe think Prendarde has a good future. The team of Endo Bolgers and Mcmanus have won the festival's crosscountry race four of the first five times.
