Week 1 NFL Parlay Picks

Here are our NFL parlay picks for Week 1 based on the best NFL odds, where we look at Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills looking to make a statement when they visit Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

Week 1 features plenty of compelling matchups, but the NFL is saving the best for Monday night when the Bills visit the Jets in a clash of AFC East contenders.

Buffalo looks to atone for a disappointing home loss to Cincinnati in last year’s playoffs, while New York is eager to open the Aaron Rodgers era on the right foot.

Here are our best NFL parlay picks (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Seahawks moneyline vs. Rams (-225 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After going 9-8 last year and making a surprise playoff appearance, the Seattle Seahawks open 2023 as the top (and maybe lone) challenger to San Francisco for the NFC West title. Geno Smith looks to build on a breakout 2022 campaign in which he threw for nearly 4,300 yards and 30 touchdowns, and Seattle’s talented receiver trio of DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba should be in for a solid day against a young and revamped Los Angeles Rams secondary.

Less than two years after winning Super Bowl LVI, Los Angeles is a shadow of its former self, dealing off so many high-priced veterans that quarterback Matthew Stafford admitted to having trouble building chemistry with his teammates during the preseason. Even worse, Stafford won’t have his security blanket in star receiver Cooper Kupp, who is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury.

I’m not quite willing to lay nearly a touchdown with the Seahawks on the spread, given the history between these division rivals that hasn’t seen Seattle beat L.A. by more than six points since 2016. However, simply asking the Seahawks to get the job done on the moneyline makes for a nice parlay leg.

Cowboys moneyline vs. Giants (-175 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott hasn’t lost to the New York Giants since his rookie season, helping the Cowboys win each of the last four meetings and 11 of the last 12. Much of that success is due to an offensive line that pushed New York around last year, with Dallas piling up 345 rushing yards in the two meetings and not allowing a single sack.

That Cowboys running game should be even more potent now that Ezekiel Elliott is no longer the feature back, giving more touches to Tony Pollard who averaged 5.2 yards per carry in 2022. Expect Dallas’ dominance of this rivalry to continue over a G-Men team that wasn’t as good as its 9-7-1 record indicated last season.

Bills moneyline vs. Jets (-135 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Last season, the Bills opened the year with an impressive rout of the defending Super Bowl champion Rams on Thursday Night Football. The stage is set for another season-opening statement victory as Buffalo visits New York on Monday night, looking to spoil Rodgers’ debut with the Jets.

As much motivation as that may provide, the Bills are also eager to get the bad taste out of their mouths from a crushing home loss to the Bengals in last year’s playoffs. They’ll get an additional emotional spark from safety Damar Hamlin suiting up for the first time since suffering cardiac arrest on the field last January.

The addition of Rodgers can certainly make the Jets a contender in the AFC, but it could take some time for New York to hit its stride. Rodgers didn’t see much preseason action with his new teammates, running back Breece Hall is coming off a knee injury and they’re working in a new offensive co-ordinator in Nathaniel Hackett. Add it all up and getting the Bills at this short moneyline price is a great way to close out our three-team parlay.
