2022-23 NHL predictions: Experts say Stars can claim Western Conference wild card spot
The Dallas Stars are coming off another playoff appearance season. They are coached by Pete DeBoer and have a new draft and free agent signings. The team is playing in Nashville on Thursday, Oct. 13 and at American Airlines Center on Saturday, October 15.
The Dallas Stars are considered a dark horse contender for the Stanley Cup. Dallas lost the last season's championship to Calgary. The team hired a new coach, DeBoer, and signed Oettinger. None of the ESPN panelists predicted the Stars to win the Central Division or the Cup this season. All three panelist predicted Calgary to take the title. Mary Clarke ranked the team No. 17 among the most watchable teams this year. Ryan S. Clark ranked Dallas 12th-best this last year, but predicted 95 points. Mike Brehm predicted them to earn 95 total points, while Mary Clark predicted they would earn 97 points and take home the award.
