2023 Memorial Tournament Picks & Odds: Cantlay Eyes Third Muirfield Win

With just two events left before the U.S. Open, the field for the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village is stacked. The top of the odds board includes a red-hot Scottie Scheffler, 2020 Memorial winner Jon Rahm, two-time champ Patrick Cantlay, and more.

There are just two events standing between us and the U.S. Open at LACC, the first of which is the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club.

Known as one of the best player experiences on the PGA Tour, this event doesn't have trouble pulling top stars and 2023 is no different, with each of the OWGR Top 5 in the field this week.

We break down the field and more in our Memorial Tournament betting preview below, including live golf odds, free golf picks, and more.

Memorial Tournament field and favorites

As mentioned at the onset, we'll get to see each of the OWGR Top 5 tee it up this week. Those five are also taking up the Top 5 spots on the odds board.

That starts with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+650), who stayed red hot with a T3 finish at Colonial over the weekend. He didn't play here a year ago but did finish third back in 2021, and if he can knock in some putts, he's clearly the guy to beat.

2020 Memorial winner (and should be two-time champ) Jon Rahm (+700) is returning after a week off, while Patrick Cantlay (+1,000) looks to make it three wins here at Muirfield Village. On top of the victories in 2019 and 2021, he also finished T3 a year ago, T7 in 2020, and fourth in 2018. This week may be the perfect storm for a guy who enters in great form.

Rory McIlroy (opened at +1,200) is sitting outside of the Top 3 on the odds board for the first time in a long time and while his game is in a weird spot right now, he did finish T7 at the PGA Championship. He's never won this tournament but does have seven Top 20s in 11 career tries.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Xander Schauffele at 14/1. His T18 finish at Oak Hill was actually his worst result since THE PLAYERS in March so the form is as good as it gets considering we're creeping up on a year since his last win. He combines that with five straight Top 20s here at Muirfield Village, albeit nothing better than T11.
