Ascot Racecourse has announced record prize money of £17million across its 25 racedays in 2023. Royal Ascot next year will also be a record of $9.52m, up from £8.65m this summer. All Group One races will be run for a minimum of £600k for the first time. The King’s Stand Stakes, St James”s Palace Stake, Gold Cup, Coronation Stase, Commonwealth Cup and Queen Anne Stage will all be worth £500k in 2022. No race on the Flat will cost less than £15k and no race over jumps less £10k.
