Belmont Stakes 2022 odds: Best bets, long shots, lines and positions

Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby. Only Mo Donegal and Barber Road are returning from the Run for the Roses. The 154th Belmont Stakes is scheduled to break from gate at 6:44 p.m. ET on Saturday at Bel Mont Park.

We the People is making his first start in a Triple Crown race. He's the morning-line favorite at 2-1.

We the People is the favorite to win the Belmont Stakes. He won the Peter Pan, the prep race for the big race.

Skippylongstocking is 20-1 to win the Belmont Stakes.

Nest is the only filly in the race. Todd Pletcher won the Belmont Stakes in 2007 with Rags to Riches. Nest finished second in Kentucky Oaks behind Secret Oath. Irad Ortiz will ride Nest, while Jose will be riding Mo Donegal.

Rich Strike won the Kentucky Derby. He is the most intriguing horse in this race. Rich Strike is 7-2 to win outright. Belmont Stakes is longest race in the series.

Creative Minister is 6-1 to win the Belmont. He won an allowance at Churchill Downs on Derby Day and finished third in the Preakness. His trainer Kenny McPeek upset the Triple Crown with Sarava at 70-2 20 years ago.

Mo Donegal is the favorite to win the Belmont Stakes. He finished fifth in the Kentucky Derby. In his prior start, he beat eventual Preakness winner Early Voting in Wood Memorial.

7. Golden Glitter (20-1 to win outright) is a distant second to We the People in the Peter Pan.

8. Barber Road (10-1 to win outright) is not fast enough to be competitive here. Joel Rosario is the reigning champion jockey. We the People is vulnerable. I like the improving Creative Minister to won this race. He will box him in exactas with Mo Donegal and Nest.
