Mo Donegal won the Wood Memorial last April. Nest won four of her six races leading to the Belmont. The other two horses were Early Voting and Skippylongstocking. Rich Strike won at the Kentucky Derby. Barber Road finished sixth at Churchill Downs. Creative Minister finished third in the Preakness. We the People came into the race as a heavy favorite. The horse is owned by celebrity chef and restauranteur Bobby Flay.
