Best Bets to Include in Your 49ers Super Bowl Same-Game Parlay for Sunday

The current Super Bowl odds price the 49ers as short favorites over the Chiefs. With San Francisco favored, here is our analysis of three Super Bowl same-game parlay picks involving the 49ers.

49ers SGP Picks #1: 1H Moneyline

We’re unsure if San Francisco will be able to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. However, we do project the 49ers to be leading the game at halftime. The first addition to our 49ers same-game parlay is the San Francisco first-half moneyline at -125 odds.

We feel this line has value based on some overreaction to San Francisco’s two playoff wins so far. The 49ers were trailing in both those games and have developed a reputation of not being a strong first-half team. However, when you look at the entire season, San Fran ranks 3rd in 1st-half time of possession and 4th in 1st-half points (14.8).

San Francisco relies more heavily on its run game, which will help sustain drives and keep the ball out of Mahomes’ hands in the first half. KC’s defense has been lights out in the second half this season (6.8 PPGA), but they are allowing over 10 points on average in the opening 30 minutes.

49ers SGP Picks #2: Christian McCaffrey TD

An obvious but needed addition to your 49ers same-game parlay is a Christian McCaffrey anytime touchdown. He has the best odds of any 49ers player to find paydirt at -225, which is actually one of his lowest prices of the season.

Kansas City only surrendered 10 rushing TDs all season, but McCaffrey is a different beast entirely. The NFL OPOY gashed an elite Detroit Lions run defense for 90 yards and two scores in the NFC Championship. Plus, he’s only been kept out of the endzone in five of 16 games.

San Francisco already rushes the ball on 45% of their offensive plays, which is the highest in the league. That could increase even more facing a KC defense that is excellent at defending the pass but vulnerable against the run. The 49ers will get McCaffrey the ball in short-yardage situations near the goal line, and he’ll power his way into the endzone.

49ers SGP Picks #3: Deebo Samuel Receiving Yards

To close out our 49ers same-game parlay, we’re targeting San Francisco wide receiver Deebo Samuel. The 28-year-old is coming off one of his strongest performances of the season, hauling in eight receptions for 89 yards against the Lions in the NFC Championship.

The reason we are targeting Samuel over a George Kittle or Brandon Aiyuk is two-fold. For starters, the Chiefs rank third in the NFL in yards allowed to tight ends (42.6). Secondly, Chiefs’ elite cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is projected to line up opposite Aiyuk for most of the game.

Samuel will have the more favorable matchup Sunday, as the Chiefs rank 25th in efficiency when it comes to defending No. 2 wide receivers. Samuel is averaging 59.5 receiving yards per game in 2023 and leads all wide receivers with 8.8 yards after the catch. His explosiveness will help this prop cash Sunday.
