Nikola Jokic is averaging 27.4 points, 12.7 rebounds and 7.9 assists in his seven games to start the new NBA season. Last year he finished with averages of 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds and 9.8 assists in his 69 games played.
Jokic has increased his triple-doubles each season since he entered the league. In 2016-17, the Serbian center had six triple-doubles. Last year he had 29 games where he hit double digits in the big three stat categories.
Already this season he has two triple-doubles. The first came in the season opener where he put up 29, 13 and 11 against the Lakers. He then 27, 10 and 11 four days later against the Jazz.
With Jokic getting better each year and the league scoring at the highest it’s been in over 50 years (last season), it wouldn’t be surprising for the center to increase his triple-doubles again.
