Sevilla may need three-goal insurance

Four-time Europa League winners Sevilla head to Eindhoven with a 3-0 lead from the first leg but Jorge Sampaoli’s side have not travelled well this season.

Three Champions League group stage matches yielded just two points as they dropped into the second-tier competition, and they have not won a European knockout game away from home since February 2019. In addition, six road trips in 2023 have brought the Dutch side three defeats.

PSV may struggle to overturn the three-goal deficit but should win on the night. The 1988 European champions have won 12 of their 17 home games in all competitions this season, losing just twice.

Tip: PSV to win @ 1/1 with Sky Bet

PSV double act are worth a shot

With PSV needing an emphatic win, coach Ruud van Nistelrooy will encourage forwards Luuk de Jong and Xavi Simons to shoot on sight this evening.

De Jong averages 1.56 shots on target per 90 minutes in the league and 19-year-old Simons averages 1.11. The pair should be full of confidence going into the game with De Jong scoring in his last two home matches and Simons finding the net 13 times this season.

We expect PSV to be on the front foot and are tipping both De Jong and Simons to have at least one shot on target.

Tip: Luuk de Jong 1+ shots on target and Xavi Simons 1+ shots on target @ 15/8 with Sky Bet

En-Nesyri too hot to handle

While we have backed PSV to win, Sevilla can add to the three goals they scored at home last week. They have not failed to score in a game since the end of October and PSV have conceded in four of their last five games.

Youssef En-Nesyri played a crucial role in Sevilla’s win last week, scoring the opening goal in added time at the end of the first half.

The 25-year-old, who starred in Morocco’s run to the World Cup semi-final, has five goals in his last six appearances across all competitions and looks the most likely to provide a goal for Sevilla.
