Over on the Red Sox’ side, they had zero luck versus the rival Blue Jays over the weekend and fell in a three-game sweep. On Monday the Sox saw Pablo Reyes go wild on a 3-for-4 evening with three runs and the game-winning grand slam. Connor Wong and Masataka Yoshida each had an RBI as well.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with Boston, but the line's too thick to mess with. Crawford is doing well over his last two starts, giving up just one earned over 10.2 innings on seven hits and two walks. Singer is rolling along nicely himself with just four earned over his last three starts in 19.0 innings. The Royals are going to have to back Singer up at the plate in game two however, and I don’t think they’ll quite get there on the scoreboard. In Monday’s game the Red Sox really didn’t see their offense get going until the ninth inning but they finished strong. That makes three or more runs for the Sox in five of their last six games, and I think they’ll keep it going in game two.
