Braves NLDS lookahead and prediction
The Braves beat the Marlins 2-1 to advance to the NLDS. They will play the Mets. They are the 2022 NL East champions. The team lost to Nationals 3-2 in extras last Wednesday.
The Cardinals and the Phillies are going to play each other in the NLDS. The Cardinals have the better offense and a better rotation. However, the Braves have played the Cardinals 19 times and they have won 7 games to theirs. The Braves are 11-8 against Philly and 4-3 against St. Louis. If we count Kenley Jansen’s walk-off walk as an anomaly, they would win 5-2 against the Cards.
The Cardinals are going to win the Wild Card Series 2-1. The Braves came back from 10.5 games down to beat the Mets to clinch the NL East. They have a bye in the first round. The Cardinals have the advantage of hosting the series at Busch Stadium. Braves have more home runs than any other team except the team with the Mickey Mouse stadium in New York.
