Buying or Selling the Odds Favorite to Win Every MLB Division in 2022

The current MLB lockout is still going on. The current betting odds for each division are as follows: safest bet, the bet to avoid, and a value play. The odds are subject to change once the offseason resumes and the remaining free agents find a home.

The Yankees have not made any notable additions this offseason. The Yankees won 92 games last season. Tampa Bay Rays are more likely to subtract than add. Toronto Blue Jays have yet to address the loss of Marcus Semien. Boston Red Sox have added only Rich Hill and Michael Wacha to their pitching staff.

The Chicago White Sox are the clear favorite to win the AL Central. The Tigers are ready to make a push after signing Javier Baez and Eduardo Rodriguez. Cleveland Guardians are still one of baseball's best pitching staffs. Minnesota Twins are just a year removed from winning back-to-back division titles. Kansas City Royals are poised for an influx of top prospect talent.

Houston Astros are the favorite to win every MLB division in 2022. Los Angeles Angels are second, Seattle Mariners third, Oakland Athletics fourth and Texas Rangers fifth. Houston has enough firepower in the lineup and pitching depth to still be the dominant force in AL West. Seattle has added Robbie Ray and Adam Frazier and is hungry to snap a playoff drought. Oakland is selling off some big pieces.

The New York Mets are the current favorite to win every MLB division in 2022. The Braves are a safe bet at +150. Miami Marlins are worth a look at -1000. Washington Nationals are not. The Phillies are still essentially the same team they were a year ago. They are rebuilding. Marlins might be a few years away.

Milwaukee Brewers are the current favorite to win every MLB division in 2022. St. Louis Cardinals are a better bet at +205 than the Brewers at -125. Cincinnati Reds are +700, Chicago Cubs +1200, Pittsburgh Pirates +5000. The Cardinals finished 2021 with a flourish, going 22-7 in September to claw their way into a wild-card berth.

Los Angeles Dodgers are the favorite to win every MLB division in 2022. The Dodgers have star power, but they need to improve their pitching depth. San Diego Padres have a talented team with a new manager in Bob Melvin. Arizona Diamondbacks are a better bet than the Rockies at +7500. Giants are worth a value pick at -400.
