Chepstow review: The Two Amigos digs deep to land Welsh National

The Two Amigos won the Coral Welsh National at Chepstow. Nicky Martin's 10-year-old was ridden by conditional jockey David Prichard. The Big Dog was alongside The Two amigas for much of the contest. Big Breakaway came second and Truckers Lodge came fourth. Martin was not at the race as she was unwell. She is hoping the win will help her recover from flu. She didn't have a lot of Christmas dinner. Pricard is delighted. He doesn't get many rides. It will mean the world to him. For the small yard it's a great boost for everybody.

Comfort Zone won the Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow by a neck. Joseph O'Brien's charge was a rare winner of the Grade Two event for Ireland. Paul Nicholls' filly Dixon Cove finished second with Perseus Way in third. The winner was trained by Willie Mullins.
