On Tuesday the Sox’ Eloy Jimenez managed four RBI and a homer but the scoring went cold after the second inning. 

It’ll be Luis Patino in the starting role for the White Sox on Wednesday. Patino has a 4.24 ERA with 15 Ks without a decision this year. Touch Toussaint will pitch Thursday in the finale.

I’ll probably try the White Sox here, even with the ugly loss in the opener. Chicago should have some early opportunities for baserunners if they can get the bats going. Pfaadt has been quite erratic over his last three starts. In one of them, he’s got a win with 5.1 clean innings versus the Cubs. In the other two combined, Pfaadt is 0-1 with nine earned runs in 10.1 innings. In the Tuesday matchup, Chicago had a complete breakdown on the mound with a terrible pitching performance across the board. It’s going to take a big bounce-back but I think the Sox have the capability to even the series.
