Colorado vs. UCLA player prop odds & picks: Can Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter keep Buffaloes offense rolling?

The Colorado Buffaloes have had some tough games this season, and they've also won in big upsets and put up some incredible stats. But last week against Stanford, the Buffs lost as a favorite for the first time in the Deion Sanders era.

Colorado had a 29-0 lead at halftime and was in control by so much that sportsbooks were not offering live moneyline odds. Then Colorado took their foot off the gas, the defense fell apart and the Cardinal came storming back, tying the game up in regulation before winning in overtime. It is the largest comeback in all of college football this season.

The positive for sports bettors who laid down prop bets is that with the high-scoring affair, chances are there was some profit for Colorado prop bettors.

Let's take a look at the Colorado prop betting market for their clash with UCLA on Saturday.

Colorado Buffaloes vs. UCLA Bruins live odds

Colorado anytime touchdown scorer props vs. UCLA

Here are the late-week odds for Colorado anytime touchdown scorers at Caesars Sportsbook:

  • Xavier Weaver -104
  • Jimmy Horn Jr. +126
  • Travis Hunter +126
  • Anthony Hankerson +175
  • Michael Harrison +250
  • Shedeur Sanders +250

Touchdown scorer props could be dangerous against UCLA this week. The Bruins have only allowed one opponent to score over 20 points in their last five games. That was a 36-24 loss to Oregon State in Week 7. It may be fair to say that Colorado is the best offense that UCLA has faced up to this point.

Shedeur Sanders player prop odds vs. UCLA

  • Over 1.5 (-188) / Under 1.5 (+140)
  • Over 312.5 (-114) / Under 312.5 (-114)

Shedeur Sander is putting up insane stats every time he takes the field. While this UCLA defense will be the best Sanders has faced since Colorado played Oregon, is there any defense that can slow down Sanders?

The only team to limit him even a little was Oregon when they held the Heisman candidate under 200 yards passing, the only time that has happened to Sanders this season. We like Sanders better for a passing yard prop over more than we do for passing touchdowns. The UCLA defense will have a hard time limiting his passing yards but could get enough red zone stops to limit Sanders' touchdown potential.

Colorado running back prop odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Rushing TD Odds:

  • Anthony Hankerson 2+ touchdowns +1600
  • Anthony Hankerson 3+ touchdowns +10000

Rushing Yards Odds :

  • Anthony Hankerson Over 24.5 (-114) / Under 24.5 (-114)

The Colorado rushing attack is very sporadic, and it isn't easy to decipher which running back will get the most touches each week. Hankerson stands the best chance to be the first in the rotation against UCLA. His prop markets are tricky, though, as Colorado is fine with abandoning the run if they find themselves down in a game.

Colorado receiver props at FanDuel Sportsbook

  • Xavier Weaver Over 77.5 (-114) / Under 77.5 (-114)
  • Jimmy Horn Jr. Over 58.5 (-114) / Under 58.5 (-114)
  • Travis Hunter Over 72.5 (-114) / Under 72.5 (-114)

The return of Travis Hunter against Stanford was significant for the Colorado offense. Even with Hunter returning, Jimmy Horn Jr. had five receptions and 60 receiving yards, with Xavier Weaver having seven catches for 124 receiving yards and two touchdown catches.

Hunter also burst back onto the scene with 13 receptions, two touchdown catches and 140 receiving yards. Horn Jr. and Weaver will still likely get plenty of targets, even with Hunter back. Colorado's offense is so high-volume that it can support three high-level receivers. The players it will affect more are Dylan Edwards, Michael Harrison and Omarion Miller, who all saw less targets than they had in the games Hunter missed while injured.

Hunter is the number one target for Shedeur Sanders, so if you are looking for a Colorado receiver to bet on to have a big day, the top three receivers are all reasonable choices, but Hunter is the best bet. Hunter's speed and chemistry with Sanders make him the top receiver in the Colorado offense whenever he is on the field.
