India, South Africa and Australia made it through to the last four, with New Zealand beaten by 70 runs courtesy of Mohammad Shami and Virat Kohli's heroics on Wednesday.

The second semi-final took place a day later, as Australia edged their way to a nervy semi-final win over South Africa.

The final will take place at the the huge 132,000-seater Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.

Jos Buttler's defending champions England have fallen to an embarrassing group-stage exit, having lost six of seven matches, before consolation wins over the Netherlands and Pakistan at least saw them finish on a high and secure Champions Trophy qualifcation.
